Song: See You in a Month
Written by: Nick Sithi
Notes: when you know someone who is involved in a relationship where they are simply wasting away and only a glimmer of their former self is left, you have to write about it.

are you going to say that you are fine?
when all your words are just another lie
she loves the sound of your bleeding
with kisses leaking poison misery

you lie through your teeth and bask in defeat

get her out of your mind, she's not worth the fucking time

do you even know what day it is?
lost in a state of masochistic bliss
you lie through your teeth, lies turn to beliefs

Song: Call Me a Camera
Written by: Nick Sithi
Notes:

as i recall, I had one arm out the window
the right was wrapped around my love
my knee gripped the wheel, you fell asleep
and we drove until nights were brighter

you sang along when the radio's on
and my heart beat to the sound of yours
but now those same songs feel like something's always wrong
and i know now that time's not linear

the smell of salt came as the waves crashed against the sand
it couldn't wake you up, you looked at peace then
i wiped the lens, and i centered the frame
one last photograph to hold in vain

don't take away memories from better days
and understand, they're all i have to stay the same

i lie motionless taking snapshots with my eyes
as the lens would focus the film is my mind

Song: One Life Stand
Written by: Nick Sithi
Notes:

talk to me dirty
let words undress your mind
speak softly thoughts that you would never write

talk to me darling
forget why you last left
you're here and back for seconds
don't mind the regret

the door is open, you hold the key
fall slowly to your knees

when you leave, well i won't worry
people change and don't feel sorry though
no one's to blame tonight
seasons pass and leaves turn orange
snow will melt and we won't notice here
no one's to blame tonight

talk to me after you're gone when i awake
i'll stare where you last loved me, your empty space in bed

Song: Unlimited Ammo
Written by: Nick Sithi
Notes: this is the first positive song i wrote about relationships in a long time. it's about taking out the girl that you are totally dying over and showing her that she didn't waste her time by taking a chance on you.

i kissed goodbye to my mind the moment that your eyes met mine.
(Mine) will you be, will flowers work or some similar strategy?
so open fire on this easy target and shoot me 'til i die.
doves fly by whenever you are near, my dear.
the orchestra accompanies you.
they all play in perfect harmony, my sweet.
and all heads turn in accordance.
say you'll stay out late.
we'll drive up the mountain path and hop no-trespassing gates.
while we're on our backs, i'll point to constellations and recite library facts.
light that passed a thousand years ago will hit your face, and i'll swoon in your glow.
chasing you through tall blades of grass that dance; the wind hums our chorus.
whatever you want, love, i'm at your whim. the rain falls on us.
seeking shelter in abandoned sheds, we laugh at our makeshift apartment.
you lick your lips and you aim your kiss, and shoot for the kill.

Song: Drift
Written by: Nick Sithi
Notes:

She drifts strangley close to me
I've lost all my reasoning
I ... wont mind
Should we... collide?

Don't you ever wonder
what could happen next
Should I throw myself to you
Or leave it up to chance
I know
you know

My mouth spouts sincerity
I give much too easily
I ... wont mind
Should we.. collide

don't you ever wonder
What could happen next
Should I throw myself to you
Or leave it up to chance
I know
You know

It kills me to peices, You drift straight through My fingers x2

don't you ever wonder
What could happen next
Should I throw myself to you
Or leave it up to chance x2

The wind blows through your hair
I'm not listening

Song: Smile!
Written by: Nick Sithi
Notes: The title went thru several name-changes until finally settling with this. i suppose it's about being content with the little time you spent with someone since anything more would be impossible.

You sent me a message, and I replied too soon
Hadn't seen you in some years
Attached was your picture
You were beautiful
You've gotten my attention

I know its not right
I know its not right

Don't have much in coomon
I dated your best friend
And you say shes moved away
We scheduled a movie
I knew that you'd cancel
But I got ready anyway

I know its not right
I know its not right

And its always better to
Discuss the weather with you
When we both know you made the wrong choice
You were just lonely when
You found my number and
I'm just glad I had these moments with you
